And we’re going to go ahead and agree with them on that.
According to The Sun, the employees at the Whaley Bridge Co-op Food store are locking the doors and getting the hell out of there at 9:30 p.m. Saturday night in an effort to “avoid distress.”
Employees told their manager Leanne Williamson they were working through some “spooky situations,” so she went to the store’s security footage to see if they were nuts. And that’s when she saw how bat shit crazy it gets at the Co-op after business hours:
Before witnessing the madness, Williamson said she didn’t believe in ghosts or the paranormal, but it’s funny how a few apparitions, shaking cooler doors and thrown bananas will change your tune.
“Staff have regularly complained of an eerie and uncomfortable atmosphere and a number of ‘unexplained’ occurrences such as noises and the feeling of being watched and followed,” Williamson said. “I don’t believe in that sort of thing but I do believe in what I can see and there is no other way to explain it.”
No word how much tobacco and beer sales among staff members have increased since the hauntings began, but we’ll guess at this point that it’s probably more than enough to keep the store afloat.
