According to UPI, more than 2,000 students at the University of Texas in Austin are planning to protest the school’s concealed weapons policy by carrying “huge dildos” around campus.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a new bill this summer that allows license holders to carry concealed handguns throughout campus. The new law takes effect next August, but many students are already making plans to protest against it by…wait for it…”strapping gigantic swinging dildos” to their backpacks.
“I did a little research on the rules surrounding dildos in classrooms,” UT student Jessica Jin said. “When I discovered that it is indeed against UT policy to wave dildos around campus, I just couldn’t help myself. You’re carrying a gun to class? Yeah, well I’m carrying a HUGE DILDO.”
More than 2,000 people have already pledged to join Jin when the protests begin next August, but not everybody is on board with Jin’s sarcasm. One of those people? You guessed it: The chairwoman of the UT chapter of the Young Conservatives of Texas.
“I don’t know what [people] plan to do with a dildo against an assailant,” Allison Peregory said. “But as a woman, and I know other Texas women agree with me, we’re going to take concealed carry over a dildo to protect us any day.”
Although, you have to think she’s forgetting about all of those women who have been using dildos to protect themselves from men for years.
