You can go ahead and read that headline as much as you want, but it’s not going to change the fact that it’s real.
Some guys surprise their girlfriends with flowers. Others surprise them with a weekend getaway to Santa Barbara. An Australian man decided the best way to surprise his girlfriend was to get naked, jam himself into his top-loading washing machine, and pop out when she arrived home.
But even in Australia, washing machines are made to wash clothing, not act as hiding spots for nude men wanting to scare the piss out of their girlfriends. As a result, four different rescue agencies and a boatload of olive oil were needed to get this clown out.
Thankfully, according to this picture, it took just one shoeless neighbor to ask the rescue team what the hell was going on:
According to the New York Daily News, firefighters, police, paramedics, and a search and rescue unit were all called to his Melbourne house to assist in removing the man from the appliance.
So, this was basically the real-life Australian version of There’s Something About Mary except this guy got stuck on purpose.
