If you’re like me, simply watching sports isn’t enough. Sure, I enjoy a good rivalry game or an exciting comeback as much as the next guy, but unless I have a little action on it, it’s not the same. So I enjoy placing a few bets every weekend to make things more interesting. You may say I have a problem; I say I have a solution. These bets are 100 PERCENT GUARANTEED TO MAKE US ALL RICH, and I am willing to share them with you to prove it. Last week was so-so, as I went 2-2 but hit my big bet with the FSU/Miami under. This week I plan on making it up to you, though, with three sure-fire picks. I’m putting my money where my mouth is. Feel free to join me.
CAN’T LOSE BET #1 (College Football)
BYU (+7.5) at Wisconsin – BYU +7.5
Yes, I know I bet against Wisconsin last week and it bit me in the butt, but this time it’s going down. BYU is a pretty good team that has won five straight, and that extra half-point hook is too juicy not to take. Plus, Wisconsin still hasn’t lost against the spread this season (they have pushed once, though), so they are due. And they are due this week. Take BYU with the points.
CAN’T LOSE BET #2 (NFL)
Denver at San Diego – UNDER 58.5
The Broncos are coming off a bye, so you may be inclined to take the over in this game thinking they’ll be fresh and going against a rather good Chargers offense, as well. But if you do that, you’ll lose. Teams coming off byes actually tend to play better defense, not offense, and the Broncos will be without their head coach John Fox, who is recovering from heart surgery. Furthermore, Denver games have seen the over hit every damn time this season, and you know I like to bet against trends like that. Also, no matter who is playing, 58.5 is a lot of points for an NFL game. Hammer the under.
CAN’T LOSE BET #3 (NFL)
Oakland at NY Giants – OVER 43.5
Here’s a fun stat for you: In non-conference games this season, the over is 31-11. For whatever reason, when the AFC plays the NFC defense goes out the window. This week’s matchup that is the best candidate to add to this trend is Raiders at Giants. The Oakland D got destroyed last week by Nick Foles (to the tune of seven touchdown passes), and I expect Eli Manning to click better with his receivers this week with the Giants coming off their bye. This game will be close, but a lot of points will be scored. Bet the farm on the over.
