Pokemon Go is set to be released on the Apple Watch, bringing with it a brand new way to keep up to date with the hugely popular mobile game.
Though you won’t be able to catch new Pokemon with the smartwatch, it will allow you to hatch your eggs while walking, monitor your level progression and take a look at nearby Pokemon without walking around with your iPhone in your hand.
Pokemon Go for the Apple Watch will also allow players to visit Pokestops and monitor the calories they’ve burned while out hunting Pokemon. It essentially provides the functionality of the unreleased Pokemon Go Plus wristband, only on your smartwatch instead.
Pokemon Go was the second time that a Nintendo property took center stage during the Apple Event, with Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto presenting the brand new iOS game Super Mario Run, unveiling a partnership between the Japanese game company and the Silicon Valley tech giant.
