Last week on AMC’s Hell on Wheels, viewers saw the previously unrevealed history of the Swede as he attempted to murder Cullen Bohannon’s family. And just like a serpent, the Swede tried to once again slip away from justice even as the episode made us pity the man that he once was.
After a particularly brutal hanging, it looks like the Swede is gone for good. But we wouldn’t be too shocked if the Swede reappears in Cullen’s nightmares. And after his latest wounds at the hands of his adversary, Cullen may not physically be the man that he used to be.
This weekend’s episode of Hell on Wheels will move beyond Cullen’s vendetta and get back to the business of building the first Continental railroad. Towards that end, Durant is back in town and read to see it through. In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview scene, Durant and Eva share a few words about what their futures may hold, as she seems somewhat dissatisfied by her current status quo. But there’s some bad news waiting for Durant, and this race is far from finished.
Here’s AMC’s description for this week’s episode:
“In the new episode, ‘Return to the Garden,’ Cullen faces life-changing decisions in Utah as Truckee adapts to life without him. Durant’s lies compromise his new partner.”
The next episode of Hell on Wheels will air this Saturday, June 18 on AMC.
