NJPW Strong Set To Feature New Japan Cup USA

New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced two big tournaments on Friday. Following Lion’s Break Collision, NJPW announced that the oft-teased NJPW Strong will debut on August 7th, and that it will feature the first ever New Japan Cup USA. The tournament will answer on of NJPW’s biggest questions post-pandemic, what happens with the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship?

The winner of the 8-man New Japan Cup USA will be crowned on August 21st and receive a title shot against IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion (and AEW World Champion) Jon Moxley.
