Chris Jericho Wants AEW To Honor Owen Hart

Current All Elite Wrestling superstar and wrestling legend Chris Jericho recently spoke with Sportskeeda, where he discussed Owen Hart and his tragic death, and how he’d love to see All Elite Wrestling honor him in some way.

Ahead of the UK premiere of Owen Hart’s episode of Dark Side of the Ring, Jericho noted that he agrees with Hart’s wife, Martha, in not wanting to see Owen Hart in the WWE Hall of Fame. “I never thought Owen should go in the Hall of Fame it’s just not right. I think anybody who had any problems with that should watch it and will understand where the family’s coming from,” he said. I think the best part of it all is, I think the family realises there’s other places to go other than WWE, there’s a lot of other Halls of Fame and a lot of other places where Owen could get some of the accolades that he deserves, 21 years later.”

When it comes to the world of All Elite Wrestling, Jericho would love to see the company honor the late Hart in some form. “I’d love to see (Martha) do something with AEW. I think the spirit of Owen Hart lives on in AEW for sure,” he said. “I’m a huge disciple of him. I’m very much influenced by Owen Hart. So I think that, whether it’s New Japan or AEW, I think it’s important for Owen to be remembered by his fans and by the people that he influenced, myself included.”

Whether it’s WWE or AEW, it’s clear that Hart is still missed by many, and his legacy will always live on. At the moment, it’s unclear whether or not All Elite Wrestling has any intention to honor Owen Hart, but it wouldn’t be too surprising to see them do something following Jericho’s words.
