WWE Inducts Connor “The Crusher” Michalek Into Hall of Fame

The child who got to live out his dream with just weeks to live will now live forever within the WWE Hall of Fame.

Connor “The Crusher” Michalek, became the heart and soul of the league for many wrestlers and fans last year after his appearance with Daniel Bryan before Wrestlemania XXX and Monday Night Raw in Washington D.C.  Although Connor is no longer with us, he is receiving the very first Warrior Award at this year’s WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

The Warrior Award will be given to someone who has exhibited unwavering strength and perseverance, and who lives life with the courage and compassion that embodies the indomitable spirit of WWE Hall of Famer, The Ultimate Warrior. This year, the award will be presented by The Ultimate Warrior’s widow, Dana Warrior, and WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan to Steve Michalek, Connor’s father.

With the love of his family and WWE Superstars, as well as the tremendous care by Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, Connor battled cancer like a true warrior for as long as he could, and his charisma made him a local celebrity in Pittsburgh.

WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon and WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Paul “Triple H” Levesque have started a fund in Connor’s name titled “Connor’s Cure,” which is dedicated to strengthening Pediatric cancer research. You can donate by going to www.givetochildrens.org/CONNORSCURE
